The good news is that hypnotherapy is a very effective tool to help you to take control of your stress symptoms. At HMH Therapy, Heather will work with you as an individual to find out what the stressors are in your life and tailor your hypnotherapy intervention to meet your individual needs. It is important to acknowledge that people are stressed by different things; someone might be stressed about meeting new people: another person may be stressed about their heavy workload at work; another may be stressed by giving a presentation. The situation itself does not cause the stress, otherwise everybody would be stressed by the same situation.
The key lies in how we react to the stressful situation. When stress occurs it is because we have reacted in a negative way to the perceived stressful event, which in turn causes us to feel stressed.
Event —> Reaction to the event (thoughts) —> Feelings about the event
By changing the reaction to a positive one, the resulting feelings about the event also become more positive. By working with Heather using a combination of NLP and Hypnotherapy, in as little as three sessions, she will teach you to recognise the early symptoms of stress. Heather will then show you how to take control of these symptoms and then show you how to gradually relax and calm yourself. Finally, Heather will teach you how to use self hypnosis to overcome the debilitating symptoms of stress.
The initial hypnotherapy session can take up to 90 Minutes and costs £65. You will also be given a Hypnotherapy CD at the first session, to listen to between sessions to reinforce your therapy.
All subsequent sessions will be around 1 hour and cost £65.
