Delighted to tell you that AR gave birth to baby C on Monday 20th at 2.01pm weighing 6lb 10oz.
Her surges started around 9am on Monday morning. AR felt most comfortable being in the shower. She was calm and relaxed throughout using her breathing techniques as the surges came. She didn’t feel the need to go to hospital until after 1pm by which time the surges were only 3 mins apart. We arrived at hospital at 1.35 and baby C arrived 26 mins later! There was no time to fill the waterpool but that didn’t matter. AR took nothing stronger than a few puffs of gas and air. Baby C was nice and placid, no crying and eyes wide open taking everything in. Hypnobirthing definitely worked for us!
